Watch List: 50+ Shows and Movies to Stream in June 2024

June looks like it’s going to be filled with a mix of new shows, movies and highly anticipated returning favourites. We’re looking forward to Apple TV+ original Presumed Innocent starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Matthias & Maxim on CBC Gem. Meanwhile, on the list of returning favourites: the third season of FX’s The Bear on Disney+, Prime Video’s fourth season of The Boys, the second season of House of the Dragon on Crave Canada and part two of the third season of Netflix’s Bridgerton. Presumed Innocent (Premieres June 14)
Starring Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role of chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich, the series takes viewers on a gripping journey through a horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney’s office when one of its own is suspected of the crime. The series explores obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together.
Campy Snoopy (Premieres June 14)
After discovering their troop is in danger of disbanding, Snoopy and the Beagle Scouts set off to the great outdoors to earn their badges. Meanwhile, Charlie Brown and friends enjoy their summer at Camp Spring Lake.
Fancy Dance (Premieres June 28)
Following her sister’s disappearance, Jax (Lily Gladstone) and her niece Roki must stick together. Desperate to keep what’s left of their family intact, Jax and Roki defy the law and hit the road on a journey to the Grand Nation Powwow in Oklahoma City.
WondLa (Premieres June 28)

Canada’s A Drag, Season 4 (Premieres June 3)

Providing an all-too-rare showcase for alternative drag performers, the show continues to prove that drag doesn’t always need to be a race: in Canada, we run together.
Château DIY, Season 7 (Premieres June 3)
Narrated by Adjoa Andoh, Château DIY follows courageous château-owners as they tackle monumental reno projects and transform worn-yet-wonderful castles across France. From first-time buyers to seasoned homeowners with grand expansion plans, every episode focuses on three unique transformation stories and restoration trials, tales, and tribulations.
Loudermilk, Season 1 (Premieres June 5)
Loudermilk centers on Sam Loudermilk (Ron Livingston), a recovering alcoholic and substance abuse counselor with an extremely bad attitude about, well, everything. He is unapologetically uncensored, and manages to piss off everyone in his life. Although he has his drinking under control, Loudermilk discovers that when your life is a complete mess, getting clean is the easy part.
Please Like Me, Season 1 (Premieres June 7)
Based on the award-winning comedy of Josh Thomas, Please Like Me is about cavoodles, custard tarts, boyfriends and girlfriends. Mostly, though, it's about growing up quickly and realizing that your parents are not heroes, but big dopes with no idea what’s going on – just like you.
Portraits From A Fire (Premieres June 7)
A coming-of-age film that follows an eccentric and lonely teenager who spends his days filmmaking, vlogging his Indigenous community, and hanging out with his grandparents. Tyler’s father, Gord, is physically present but remains emotionally absent from Tyler’s life for reasons Tyler cannot understand. That is until he meets Aaron, a mysterious, charismatic, and influential figure who encourages Tyler to showcase his most personal film about his mother’s disappearance to the community, leading to a reckoning between past and future, life and death, and father and son. The film follows Tyler’s journey to heal the wounds of the past by opening them once again. And by finding the courage to face the fear of the unknown, he weaves together the strong sacred bonds of family through both living and ancestral realms.
Junior Baking Show, Season 9 (Premieres June 10)
From thousands of applicants, sixteen talented junior bakers aged 9-12 battle it out in the iconic white tent to be crowned winner of Junior Baking Show. Harry Hill oversees proceedings with his characteristic wit and warmth, alongside seasoned judges Liam Charles and Ravneet Gill.
Matthias & Maxime (Premieres June 12)
Two childhood best friends are asked to share a kiss for the purposes of a student short film. Soon, a lingering doubt sets in, confronting both of them with their preferences, threatening the brotherhood of their social circle, and, eventually, changing their lives. Matthias & Maxime premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, where writer and director Xavier Dolan was nominated for two awards.
Killing Eve, Season 1 (Premieres June 14)
Based on the novellas by Luke Jennings and created and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Killing Eve enters on two women: Eve (Sandra Oh) is a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade MI5 security officer whose desk-bound job doesn’t fulfill her fantasies of being a spy. Villanelle (Jodie Comer) is a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her. Killing Eve topples the typical spy-action thriller as these two fiercely intelligent women, equally obsessed with each other, go head to head in an epic game of cat and mouse.
God’s Own Country (Premieres June 14)
Johnny Saxby (Josh O’Connor) works long hours on his family’s remote farm in the north of England. He numbs the daily frustration of his lonely existence with nightly binge-drinking at the local pub and casual sex. But when a handsome Romanian migrant worker (Alec Secareanu) arrives to take up temporary work on the family farm, Johnny suddenly finds himself having to deal with emotions he has never felt before. As they begin working closely together during lambing season, an intense relationship starts to form, which could change Johnny’s life forever.

Love Island, Season 11 (Premieres June 10)

Who Killed WCW? (Premieres June 4)
Dives deep into the history, rise, and ultimate demise of World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Am I Ok? (Premiere June 6)
Lucy and Jane have been best friends for most of their lives and think they know everything there is to know about each other. But when Jane announces she’s moving to London, Lucy reveals a long-held secret. As Jane tries to help Lucy, their friendship is thrown into chaos. An official selection of the Sundance Film Festival, starring Dakota Johnson, Sonoya Mizuno, Jermaine Fowler, Kiersey Clemons, Molly Gordon, with Sean Hayes and Tig Notaro.
Fantasmas (Premieres June 7)
Writer, director, and comedian Julio Torres (HBO’s Los Espookys) spins a fantastical six-part tale of when he lost a gold oyster earring. In his search to find the precious object, Julio reflects on the offbeat characters he encounters in introspective, often eerie, and always comedic vignettes set in dreamy, alternate versions of New York City. A kaleidoscope of color and surrealism, weaving together stories of people looking for meaning, purpose, and connection in an increasingly isolating world.
Power Book II: Ghost, Season 4 (Premieres June 7)
In the fourth season, new alliances have been formed with each faction and Tariq and Brayden must find a way back into the game. But Brayden starts flirting with a new, reckless lifestyle, leaving Tariq to wonder if there really is room for two at the top. With Monet left for dead, Davis facing potential disbarment, and Effie looking to secure her future at Stanford, everyone’s on their own. Diana and Dru continue to question their roles while Cane levels up and starts working with Noma. As Noma is fighting to establish her business in the States and keep her daughter Anya in line, she finds her way on Tariq and Brayden’s radar. Love Island USA, Season 6 (Premieres June 11th)
Hosted by beloved TV personality Ariana Madix, set in Fiji, Season 6 features a brand-new vibrant villa including a spicy Casa Amor and an unforgettable Hideaway. Islanders are set to face more drama than ever before with jaw-dropping revelations, brand-new couples’ challenges, and surprise guests. Along the way, viewers vote for their favourite couples via the Love Island USA app to determine which Islanders remain in the villa and who goes home, heartbroken, and empty-handed.
House Of The Dragon, Season 2 (Premieres June 16)
Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, HOUSE OF THE DRAGON is set 200 years before the events of GAME OF THRONES and tells the story of House Targaryen. In Season 2, Westeros is on the brink of a bloody civil war with the Green and Black Councils fighting for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively.
Shoresy (Premieres June 21)
Created by and starring Jared Keeso, and produced by New Metric Media in association with Play Fun Games, SHORESY sees the foul-mouthed, chirp-serving, mother-loving, fan favourite character, Shoresy (Keeso), and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs of the Northern Ontario Senior Hockey Organization (The NOSHO), continue their quest to never lose again. In Season 3, Shoresy and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs compete in the National Senior Tournament, facing off against teams from across Canada, like the Charlottetown Reds, Brooks Barrelmen, Vaughan Canadesi, and SOO Hunt.
Madame Web (Premieres June 28)
From the Sony Pictures universe of Marvel characters, the suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who develops the power to see the future…and realizes she can use that insight to change it. Bob’s Burgers, Season 14 (Premieres June 2)
In the returning season, the Belcher family is back, Bob and Linda and their three children, Tina, Gene, and Louise face new challenges as they run the burger restaurant.
Star Wars: The Acolyte, Season 1 (Premieres June 4)

Criminal Minds: Evolution, Season 17 (Premieres June 7)
